Orca Swimrun RS1 Dam 2018
The new RS1 SwimRun provides the ultimate solution for your SwimRun adventures. This evolution of the RS1 SwimRun wetsuit has improved buoyancy and flexibility, allowing you to focus on your challenge. The removable arms allow you to adopt your suit to the event temperature and the additional storage means less bulky equipment floating about.
Removable neoprene arms. Front zip allows for a great swim and freedom on the run.
1.5mm thick neoprene shoulders, 2mm arm and crotch panels make this suit super flexy for not only the swim, but also the run so there is no bulky neoprene getting in the way of your stride. BUOYANCY
9mm front leg panels provide the buoyancy required to be in the best swimming position in the water, with the 3 mm front and back panel for additional buoyancy and warmth.
Anti-abrasion DuraSkin butt panel protects the suit if the inevitable slipping and sliding should happen.
Handy inner back pocket provides storage of race compulsories like GPS, as well as the new storage in the lower back for your other race essentials.
The Yamamoto Corporation is the world’s main supplier of high performance neoprene. Its seal represents quality, technology and innovation.
Exo-Cell is a unique sandwich-designed neoprene that provides over 25% more buoyancy than Aerodome. Panels of Exo-Cell are used in strategic panels on the Predator, Alpha and 3.8 to optimize swimming position.
Yamamoto 39cell is an extremely flexible neoprene which supports an uninhibited natural swimming motion. 39cell extends to a 513% elongation rate, meaning this material is sure to move with you. Added benefits of zero water absorption and zero weight variation can mean only one thing: more speed. A fine balance between buoyancy and flexibility, 39cell is a durable material which will stand the test of time and distance, representing the best neoprene available in it’s class.
SUPER COMPOSITE SKIN (SCS)
Super Composite Skin (SCS) is the leading triathlon wetsuit lining because of its capacity to reduce friction and to provide the best possible hydrodynamics. Orca uses the most innovative version of Nano SCS, developed by the Yamamoto company, to ensure top speed in the water. The friction coefficient in the water of Orca’s Nano SCS is 0.026, as compared to an average of 4.0 for the other wetsuits.
The HydroLite panels help the wetsuit come of easier, for faster transitions. This technology, combined with the SCS coating, helps the water slide off your wetsuit, without impregnating it, considerably improving your hydrodynamics.
The inner Infinity Skin lining provides the feeling of absolute freedom. Designed based on a high-elasticity nylon that incorporates bamboo fibres, this technology is applied to the lining of our wetsuits to offer you greater flexibility with each stroke. This cloth maintains body heat longer, reduces body odour and the appearance of bacteria in your wetsuit. It is also made from natural eco-friendly materials to prevent the appearance of skin irritation and care for the environment.
